There are many festivals in the Philippines that are colorful and held on various islands. Named T’nalak, the Festival’s name is derived from the colorful cloth the T’boli women (a region tribe) woven for it.

It is made from abaca which is the national plant of the Philippines. It was declared the strongest natural fiber in the world by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology and the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority.

Because it was made by one of the most prominent tribes in the country, the cloth is eye-catching. Every year, the festival is held in Mindanao’s city of Koronadal in July. The festival celebrates the diversity and unification among the many cultures and ethnicities of the island over a week.

To commemorate South Cotabato’s founding, the festival is held each year. Why should you go to this festival only once in your life?
